Prayers For Acceptance And Peace
We all want that feeling of peace and rightfully deserve it. The peace that doesn't come from external factors, but from within. Through faith and healing, through understanding and forgiveness, through acceptance and gratitude.
We know life can take its toll, which can cause chaos to our thoughts and our emotions. However, God constantly reminds us that; when we put our faith in him, when we bring our concerns to him and when we surrender ourselves to him, the peace we have been hoping for, was already waiting for us.
For God knows our hearts and minds and all he wants is for us to understand that the peace he gives to each of us, no-one can take it away. For 2 Corinthians Chapter 1, verses 3-4 reads: Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
Here are a few scriptures you can pray with, when you are in need of peace. Don't forget to rephrase when needed, so it's personal to you!
John Chapter 14, verse 27:
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
1 Peter Chapter 5, verses 6-7:
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Philippians Chapter 4, verses 4-7:
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Romans Chapter 15, verse 13:
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Exodus Chapter 14, verse 14:
The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
Romans Chapter 14, verse 19:
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
