Scriptural Prayers for Strength

Prayer is such a beautiful and intimate way of building a relationship with God. First thanking him; for all that he has done in our lives and then asking him, to help make the changes we need in our lives and asking him for guidance and strength in our times in need. As long as we hold faith in our hearts, God is always on hand to answer our prayers.

Sometimes, we may not know what to say or feel that we are not praying correctly, but God sees and hears every heart and every silent whisper and cries.

Prayers don't need to be structured, they can even be a scripture (reword them, so they are personal to you). Here are a few scriptures you can pray with, when you are in need of strength.

Philippians Chapter 4, verses 10‭-‬13:

But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Psalms Chapter 18, verses 1‭-‬3:

I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭Chapter 41, verses 9‭-‬13‬:

You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest regions, and said to you, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away. Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. “Behold, all those who were incensed against you, shall be ashamed and disgraced. They shall be as nothing and those who strive with you shall perish. You shall seek them and not find them—Those who contended with you. Those who war against you, shall be as nothing. As a nonexistent thing. For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’

‭‭Psalms‬ Chapter ‭12, verses 1-‬4‬ :

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel, shall neither slumber nor sleep. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.

‭‭I Corinthians‬ Chapter ‭16, verses 13‭-‬14‬:

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.

‭‭Psalms‬ Chapter ‭19, verse 14‬:

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

I hope you find these scriptures useful, in your time of need. Remember that, even when you may feel alone or seem alone, God is always with you.
