Biblical Affirmations For Women

I couldn’t start this blog, without adding part of my favourite poet’s quote. The late Maya Angelou captures our hearts with her Phenomenal Woman poem.

Now you understand, just why my head’s not bowed.

I don’t shout or jump about, or have to talk real loud.

When you see me passing, it ought to make you proud.

I say,

It’s in the click of my heels,

The bend of my hair, the palm of my hand,

The need for my care. Cause I’m a woman phenomenally.

Phenomenal woman,

That’s me.

She perfectly describes us women in a different light. Beauty is more than our appearances; it’s what comes from our hearts, the words we speak, the way we act and how the lights that are within each of us, can empower another. As women, we go through so much physically and emotionally, that sometimes it’s hard to explain the things we have to carry.

So I just want to remind you; that no matter how much you have been put down in the past, you were born to thrive, to rise and to succeed. You are amazing and you are a beautiful woman inside and out.

Sometimes we can let the words and actions of the world, put us into a cage, so here are some biblical affirmations, to remind us of God’s unconditional love. With him in our lives, we never have to question who we are, for we are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Don’t forget when you are saying these affirmations, that you make the words personal to you. I have done an example in the first scripture.

Proverbs‬ chapter ‭31, verses 25‭-‬26‬:

Strength and honour are her (My) clothing; And she (I) shall rejoice in time to come. She (I) openeth her (My) mouth with wisdom; And in her (My) tongue is the law of kindness.

‭‭1 Peter‬ chapter ‭3, verse 4‬:

But let it be [the inner beauty of] the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality and unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit, [one that is calm and self-controlled, not overanxious, but serene and spiritually mature] which is very precious in the sight of God.

‭‭Proverbs‬ chapter ‭31, verses 29‭-‬31‬:

Many daughters have done nobly, and well [with the strength of character that is steadfast in goodness], But you excel them all.” Charm and grace are deceptive, and [superficial] beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the Lord [reverently worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect], she shall be praised. Give her of the product of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates [of the city].

Luke‬ chapter ‭1, verse 45‬:

And blessed [spiritually fortunate and favored by God] is she who believed and confidently trusted that there would be a fulfillment of the things that were spoken to her [by the angel sent] from the Lord.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭chapter 46, verse 5‬:

God is in the midst of her [His city], she will not be moved; God will help her when the morning dawns.

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭chapter 31, verse 10‬:

An excellent woman [one who is spiritual, capable, intelligent, and virtuous], who is he who can find her? Her value is more precious than jewels and her worth is far above rubies or pearls.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank you for creating me as the woman as I am. I know I am far from perfect, but you show me that even through my flaws, you love me unconditionally. You continue to show me that in your eyes; I am loveable, I am valued, I am worthy, I am amazing and I am wonderfully and fearfully made. Heavenly Father, as long as you give me life, may I walk in the goodness of your mercy. May every gift and talent that is within me, be used for your glory. May every word I speak and words I write, inspire and motivate the women in my life. Please use me to be a positive influence in their lives, in the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen!

I pray God always guides, strengthens, protects and covers you. Remember that it doesn’t matter how the world sees you, but how you see yourself through God’s eyes.

He loves you for all that you have gone through, all that you are and all that you are yet to become. For Proverbs‬ ‭chapter 3, verse 15‬ ‭reads: She is more precious than rubies; And nothing you can wish for compares with her [in value].

Never forget that you are royal Queen xx
