For the roads are a scary place to be.

Conflicted between being independent, successful and a team player,

Troubled by which route, is able to take him positively higher.

Defined by the his social group and the colour of his skin,

Not understanding the pain and setback, they try to stir within.

The pressure of his friends, the love of his family, the loss of those he cared about,

These influences and situations, fighting for control.

She looks out on the world and sees nothing but competition,

For the roads, are a diverse place to travel upon.

Conflicted by the way she looks and the places she wants to go,

Troubled by the news and the media.

The pressure of trying to fit into, today's ideal woman category,

Her purpose, becomes second place.

Until society’s stereotypical views, hits differently,

The echoes of "they are not good enough" fades away.

The melody of invisible chains rattling, starts to break.

The beating of unwanted presences, subsides.

The thought of insignificance, is replaced with bravery, courage, importance and confidence.

Because their spirits comes to understand;

That they will be the ones to make a difference, he will venture from the prince he is, to the King, he knows he can become.

And she will venture from the princess she is, to the Queen, she knows she can become.

They will become the visions, their mind seeks,

They will live the dreams, set in their hearts.

They are not meant to be stuck in this box of ungratefulness and deception.

They will not excluded any longer, because unity is a prority.

They will not be ashamed of their colour, race, religion or agenda,

But the will thrive with abundance and prosperity, in area of their lives.

For if they don’t, who will?
